Jace is "penciled" in for his second surgery on November 14, 2013. We are waiting to hear about when the first surgery might be scheduled. They said that he would go in for the first surgery two weeks before the second surgery, which puts us in Baltimore around October 31. All of these dates are pending if the insurance can come to terms with the negotiations with Hopkins. So we sit and wait:)
Something else that is happening in our lives, Ian will start AWANA on Wednesday! We can't believe he is old enough to be a Cubbie:) Can't wait to hear all about his first night! Our big three year old:)
We have been in prayer about the expenses and how God was going to work this out, only to find out last week that He has been working on it since MAY!!! God put this on the hearts of Suzanne's nephew and wife in MAY! God already was working on His plan:) Love HIM! Suzanne's nephew, Alex and his wife, Audrey took over Suzanne's candle company in Indiana a few years ago. The company's name is Simple Glow. They have been doing an awesome job with creating the candles and making it a great business. They are offering candles, in many fragrances, and half of the proceeds are going to go toward expenses to help us while we are in Baltimore. Housing, meals, transportation and anything else that we might be in need of during our stay. We are so grateful for our wonderful family and friends who take action when God says, "Go"! Here is the link for the fundraiser http://www.simpleglowcandleco.com/jace.html
We have also created a fundraiser page here on the blog for donations that will help fund our expenses while we are staying at Johns Hopkins. http://thewakleyfamily.blogspot.com/p/fundraiser-for-jace.html
Suzanne's family will be having a hog roast at her sister and husband's home on September 28th in Columbia City, Indiana. This link will take you to the details of the event https://www.facebook.com/events/215220685304036/
Carter and Jace Summer 2013 |
We would also ask for you all to be in prayer for this sweet boy, Carter Cline. He will be going into surgery next week, again. Here is his blog with the details Little Gift Carter We had the privileged of visiting Carter and his parents, Meagan and Brandon, while we were at Hopkins this summer. They have been a wealth of information and instant friends for life:) We will be praying for you sweet boy! We love you!
Lots of good news for sure! I'm so glad to hear that God is working out the details. I know He will continue to do so; you can trust in that! Praying and rejoicing! May you know His perfect peace as you wait in anticipation of all that He will do for your family. ((HUGS))
