My help comes from the Lord!

Hello Friends!  There have been so many things happening in our lives in the past two days, it's now becoming a blur. We had planned on leaving this next Monday, the 28th, but God has other plans for us.

God had His hand in all of this from the beginning of time! Blows me away to think about His Sovereignty and about the love He has for us and how He cares for us like no other.

The details, yesterday we found out that one of the surgeons could not do the surgery on November 14th and insurance still hasn't been settled with negotiations. We have made plans but nothing in stone since things were up in the air. Our hearts were being prepared for a couple of months to be away from Ian, our three year old son and to care for Jace. God's grace in this situation has been overwhelming. God revealed this situation to Danny and I BEFORE anything had been talked about, the day before, giving us peace and understanding beyond anything we could have imagined. When we heard the words "We are planning for a January surgery date" we were not surprised, mad, bewildered because we knew God's plans are always perfect! We did need to get some things figured out but the excitement that Danny and I felt that we were going to get to celebrate Jace's second birthday, Thanksgiving and Christmas together was wonderful! Jace's doctor had said that it would not hurt Jace to wait a few more months for the surgery.

We did hear today that they are looking at January 29th for the second surgery which would put his first surgery around January 15th, just enough time to get him over any colds or sickness that he might acquire during the holidays. That date is still being discussed between the doctors but we should know soon. And that would also give the insurance negotiation time.
